We Need Your Help!
We partner with local organizations that are connected to their community and understand the needs of its members. All organizations are welcome to volunteer. The important thing is a desire and willingness to serve their neighbors in a way that is in the recipients' best interests. If you represent an organization, wish to distribute care packages containing Christian symbols, and will agree to a code of conduct that includes representing Christ in His commandment to love your neighbors as yourself during distribution, please reach out for more information!
How Can You Help?
We rely on volunteer organizations to tell us what their community members need, so we can plan the contents of the care packages accordingly. We offer a brief virtual train-the-trainer session with volunteer leads. When funds become available, we plan a distribution date that works best for the organization. We then fund and distribute the resources to the volunteer organization, who solicits volunteers from their members and/or their community. On the date of distribution, the volunteers assemble the care packages, distribute in a way they determine most appropriate, record the distribution of each package, and share that information with us so we can share it with our donors.
How Will This Help My Organization?
Our goal is for the process to benefit the recipients as well as the volunteer members of your organization. Giving their time and showing their neighbors love is part of growing as individuals and, if they have faith, growing in their faith. It is also an opportunity for them to make connections and bond with each other outside of their normal day. Also, your organization has the opportunity to represent itself in the community while performing an act of service to those in need.
Is Volunteering A Difficult Process?
Certainly not! Distributions are in increments of 50 determined based on funding available and the size of the volunteer team, so a distribution can be as small as just 50 care packages-- a quantity that could easily be assembled and distributed by a few volunteers in less than a day.
Do We Take Individual Volunteers?
All volunteers are recruited by the organizations we partner with. Does that mean you as an individual can't volunteer? No, you certainly can. But we would put you in contact with a partner organization in your area to work with once we have established a relationship in your region and have scheduled a distribution there.
